I would highly recommend Wesley House Senior Living Facility if you are searching for a
quality place of residence for yourself or your special loved one. My Mother moved to Wesley
House in 2023 at 90 yrs old and absolutely loves it. She has made many new friends and is
constantly involved in activities with them such as bingo, arts and crafts, exercise classes and
other forms of entertainment. The apartments are nice, roomy and are designed specifically
with a senior resident in mind. My Mother is afforded the freedom and independence she’s
used to having with the help she sometimes requires at her age. She often wonders why she
waited so long to become a part of this special family of residents.

The staff is well trained, kind and courteous, very a en ve and truly care about each
and every resident there. They will ensure that your loved one will receive the assistance they
need whenever they need it. They treat every resident like family and care for them with love,

When I realized I no longer felt safe living alone at my home, I knew it was time to make a
change. Choosing Wesley House was one of the best decisions I’ve made.
From the administration to housekeeping, laundry, maintenance, and the caregivers,

After suffering a life altering stroke during heart valve replacement surgery in 2021,
my Mother found her new “forever” home at Wesley House Gainesville. From our very
first tour of the facility, we felt welcome and “wanted” and we felt such relief that
we were able to secure a room! Immediately we understood what an absolute
Godsend that this beautiful facility was!! The building itself was beautifully
decorated with sophisticated touches, and was immaculately clean, well maintained,
and offered it’s residents a host of amenities. The room my Mother would be moving
into was absolutely perfect for her. We couldn’t have been more impressed at that
Point!

Four years and nine months later, the facility is just as impressive as the first day we
walked in. The level of care has also stayed true and through many challenges with
my Mother’s physical condition, I can honestly say that there is no other place that !
would want her to be! She has been given such loving, accommodating and adaptive
care, with every concern being heard and addressed. The level of understanding and
compassion she has received throughout her years here is second to none in my
opinion. We have been in other facilities with both my Mother and Dad, and truly, !
have never seen or FELT the love that is shown here for my Mother. This amazing
Wesley House staff loves their residents like family….I witness it daily!
In short, I can only praise Wesley House Gainesville, along with it’s directors, techs,
aides, kitchen, maintenance, laundry, housekeeping, etc.! There are so many names I
could include among the staff whom we have developed precious bonds with,
however the list would indeed be very long. There is something very, VERY special
about this place and I’m so very grateful we found it! From the bottom of my heart,

In October 2023 we decided to sell our house in Trenton , Tx and move to a 55+ community. We had
been looking for a while but couldn’t find the small town atmosphere that we were looking for.
One day we were in Bonham shopping and saw the sign about Wesley House Cottages and decided to
check them out.

Bottom line “THE BEST DECISION WE HAVE EVER MADE!”
Great location for travel, shopping, and neighborhood atmosphere.
Great management and worry free living.
Should have made this move sooner.

My name is Angela Wolfe. At the end of March 2025, I transferred my mother, Norma Richardson,
from Traditions Senior Living in Sherman, Texas, to Wesley House in Bonham. Although moving her
at her age was a difficult decision, it was one of the best decisions I ever made.
From my very first visit and meeting Shayla, I knew Wesley House would become home for my
mother.

After living there for over a year, my mother suffered a fall and fractured her hip while I was returning
from a much-needed seven-day vacation. I later learned how lovingly everyone cared for her while I
was away. Ann McKinney faithfully visited, prayed with my mother, and checked on her daily before
her fall. I was also told the staff frequently looked in on her. As a very protective and hands-on
daughter, knowing she was surrounded by such genuine care gave me tremendous peace.
Wesley House went above and beyond anything I have experienced. As a Christian, the only way I
can describe it is that it felt as though heaven touched earth. Every employee I encountered—past and
present—treated my mother and me like family. Genuine kindness and compassion are rare today, yet
they seemed to define the culture at Wesley House.

The staff consistently demonstrated exceptional attentiveness. Ron, the maintenance supervisor,
noticed my backup lights were not working and took the time to tell me before I left. On another
occasion, a member of the kitchen staff noticed fluid where I had parked and wanted to make sure my
vehicle was safe before I drove away. Thankfully it wasn’t my car, but her concern meant so much.
The medication technicians were outstanding. They patiently answered questions, helped my mother
take her medications, and adapted to her needs. Riley, despite being relatively new, impressed me with
her professionalism, gentleness, and initiative. One day she even cleaned my mother’s room simply
because she felt it needed freshening. Jamie often worked nights and always found time to sit with us,
check on my mother, and make her laugh. Amber provided calm, steady, dependable care that allowed
me to relax and focus on spending meaningful time with my mother rather than worrying about her
well-being.

No facility is perfect, and minor issues occasionally arose, but what impressed me most was that
concerns were addressed promptly and respectfully. Communication was excellent. The staff regularly
updated me when I was away, allowing me to anticipate my mother’s needs before arriving.
I also appreciated how Wesley House celebrated birthdays, encouraged participation in activities, and
created a welcoming environment for every resident, regardless of their ability to participate. The
facility provides comfortable gathering spaces, outdoor areas, quality meals, and the ability to
transition residents to memory care when their needs change.

Shayla is one of the finest administrators I have ever met. She leads by example, remains
approachable, and is deeply invested in both her residents and her staff. She responded to my concerns
even after hours and consistently demonstrated compassion far beyond what anyone could reasonably
expect. Her leadership is clearly reflected throughout the entire team. It is evident that this is more
than a job for them—it is a calling.

I sincerely hope Wesley House recognizes and invests in employees like these. Retaining
compassionate, experienced staff is one of the greatest gifts you can give your residents and their
families.

I recommend Wesley House without hesitation to anyone searching for assisted living. During one of
the most difficult seasons of my life, your team provided not only excellent care for my mother but
also comfort, reassurance, and support for me. That is something I will never forget.

Thank you for everything you did for my mother and for our family. My gratitude is beyond words.

For eight years, our mother has lived at the Wesley House (originally The Woodmoore), in Bonham,
Texas. For eight years, she has been surrounded with pure love and absolutely wonderful care. From the
beginning, mother has been respected and treated with kindness by ALL the employees. She truly loves
the staff members, and she will tell anyone that this is the best place for her to live, since she can’t be in
her own home. She, and we, her daughters, are so thankful that mother has a place where she can live as
safely and independently as possible, while having her own space, with her
own furniture and treasures. The Wesley House is a special place, and we are so grateful that mother is
able to call this home. At 93, feeling safe and loved is a very important feeling, and that is exactly how we
all feel about The Wesley House!

We moved my dad from another city to be closer to us. We were very fortunate to get into
Wesley House. This was a big move and adjustment, but from day one the entire staff has gone
above and beyond to make sure he is comfortable, taken care of and well-loved. This continues
daily. Every staff member is amazing, trustworthy, and truly cares for each resident, they are
the best.

I have been at Wesley House Gainesville for almost 2 years. I consider this to be
my “home away from home”. We have our own living quarters. We can be social,
or we can stay “home”. We have no pressure to do everything on our daily
schedule, it’s our choice. It’s a very busy community. We are served 3 meals a
day, our laundry is done for us, and our rooms are kept beautifully clean by
housekeeping. The staff is excellent and love each of us just as we were their very
own family members. We are a BIG family here. I know that it’s not best for me
to live alone any longer; therefore, I know I am exactly where I need to be and so
happy about that.

One year ago, I brought my Mom to Wesley Oaks Memory Care. Although it was scary for both of us,
the staff were fabulous and addressed all of my questions and concerns. They care and show
compassion to each resident. The facility and grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Mom loves all the
meals and snacks. Even as her health declines, they have held activities that she is able to join. The
staff responds to residents’ needs when unique situations arise – like saving a plate of food because
Mom now sleeps through meals. I trust Mom is well taken care of and I’m always called right away if
there are any issues. Overall, the staff is respectful and treat Mom like the person she was before
dementia.
